TRILLUMINATION TEXT ON THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA
- Purpose of the Illumination Text and the Data Controller Position of Our Company:
Our company Global Flexible Packaging holds the status of "data controller" under the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("Law") regarding the personal data of customers. With this Illumination Text, it is aimed to inform customers about the personal data processing activities carried out by Global Flexible Packaging in accordance with the aforementioned Law.
- Purpose of Processing Personal Data Belonging to Customers:
Personal data belonging to customers are processed within the framework of the personal data processing conditions and purposes specified in Articles 5 and 6 of the Law, including carrying out the necessary work by business units to enable data subjects to benefit from the products and services offered by Global Flexible Packaging and executing relevant business processes; carrying out the necessary work by relevant business units for the performance of commercial activities conducted by Global Flexible Packaging and executing business processes connected thereto; planning and executing the commercial and/or business strategies of Global Flexible Packaging; and ensuring the legal, technical, and commercial job security of Global Flexible Packaging and the relevant persons who are in a business relationship with Global Flexible Packaging. Detailed information regarding the processing of personal data can be accessed from the Policy on the Processing and Protection of Personal Data under Law No. 6698 by Global Flexible Packaging.
- Personal Data to be Processed in Accordance with the Explicit Consent of Customers and Purposes of Processing:
The personal data to be processed in accordance with explicit consent and the purposes of processing are specified in the Consent Text.
- Transfer of Personal Data Belonging to Customers:
Personal data belonging to customers may be shared with Global Flexible Packaging and company officials, our affiliates, business partners, suppliers, shareholders, legally authorized public institutions and organizations, and private entities within the framework of the personal data processing conditions and purposes specified in Articles 8 and 9 of the Law, including planning and executing the activities necessary to carry out the necessary work by business units to enable data subjects to benefit from the products and services offered by Global Flexible Packaging and executing relevant business processes; carrying out the necessary work by relevant business units for the performance of commercial activities conducted by Global Flexible Packaging and executing business processes connected thereto; planning and executing the commercial and/or business strategies of Global Flexible Packaging; and ensuring the legal, technical, and commercial job security of Global Flexible Packaging and the relevant persons who are in a business relationship with Global Flexible Packaging.
- Method and Legal Ground for Collecting Personal Data:
Personal data are collected from customers electronically. Personal data collected for the legal grounds mentioned above can be processed and transferred for the purposes specified in Articles 5 and 6 of the Law, this Illumination Text, and the Consent Text in cases where explicit consent is required.
- Rights of Customers as Personal Data Owners:
Pursuant to Article 11 of the Law, data subjects have the right to; (i) learn whether their personal data are processed or not, (ii) request information if their personal data have been processed, (iii) learn the purpose of processing personal data and whether they are used in accordance with their purpose, (iv) know the third parties to whom personal data are transferred at home or abroad, (v) request rectification of personal data if they are processed incompletely or inaccurately and request notification of the transaction made within this scope to third parties to whom personal data have been transferred, (vi) request the deletion or destruction of personal data in the event that the reasons requiring their processing cease to exist despite being processed in accordance with the Law and other relevant law provisions, and request notification of the transaction made within this scope to third parties to whom personal data have been transferred, (vii) object to the occurrence of a result against the person himself/herself by analyzing the processed data exclusively through automated systems, and (viii) request compensation for the damages in case of incurring damages due to unlawful processing of personal data.
Requests regarding the exercise of the said rights can be submitted by personal data owners through the methods specified in the Policy on the Processing and Protection of Personal Data under Law No. 6698 by Global Flexible Packaging. Global Flexible Packaging will evaluate and conclude the respective requests within 30 days. Global Flexible Packaging reserves the right to request a fee based on the tariff specified by the Personal Data Protection Board (if any) regarding the requests.
CONSENT TEXT ON THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA
Our company Global Flexible Packaging holds the status of "data controller" under the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("Law") regarding the personal data of customers. With this Consent Text, it is aimed to obtain the explicit consent of customers regarding the personal data processing activities carried out by Global Flexible Packaging as specified below in accordance with the said Law.
In cases where the personal data processing conditions set forth in Articles 5/2 and 6/3 of the Law cannot be met, the explicit consent of customers must be obtained for Global Flexible Packaging to process personal data. Regarding the processes that do not require explicit consent, data processing activities are carried out within the scope of the Illumination Text, and in processes requiring explicit consent, data are processed in accordance with the basic principles specified in the Illumination Text.
Within this scope, personal data of customers are processed by Global Flexible Packaging for the purposes and in accordance with the procedure specified under Section 3 – Article IV of the Policy on the Processing and Protection of Personal Data under Law No. 6698. Accordingly, personal data may be processed in line with the consent to be given by the Customer within the framework of planning and executing the sales and marketing processes of products and/or services of Global Flexible Packaging in general, and planning and executing the processes of creating and/or increasing loyalty to the products and/or services offered by Global Flexible Packaging, including purposes such as creating campaigns for customers; offering special opportunities by the business partners of Global Flexible Packaging to the customers of Global Flexible Packaging which they can use at Global Flexible Packaging; cross-selling; determining target audiences; conducting activities to enhance user experience by tracking customer movements; improving the functioning of the website belonging to Global Flexible Packaging and personalizing it according to customer needs; conducting direct and indirect marketing, personalized marketing, and remarketing activities; conducting personalized segmentation, targeting, analysis, and in-house reporting activities; market research; planning and executing customer satisfaction activities; recommending and introducing the products and services offered by Global Flexible Packaging to the relevant persons by customizing them according to their tastes, usage habits, and needs; and planning and executing customer relationship management processes, and may be shared with the parties specified in the Illumination Text for these purposes.
